DNC SCANNED LEADS
Before 2014 it was okay to sell personal data. After that, the PDPA steps in and selling data needs to obtain consent from each individual.
In order to contact consumers, organisation should scan random valid numbers through dnc or invite consumers to opt-in and agreed to be contacted for marketing purposes.
“Starting from 2 January 2014, the Do Not Call (DNC) provisions under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) generally prohibits organisations from sending certain marketing messages (in the form of voice calls, text or fax messages) to Singapore telephone numbers, including mobile, fixed-line, residential and business numbers, registered with the DNC Registry.” -PDPC
